Doing Everyday Tasks With Physical Therapy

As we go about our daily lives, it can be very easy to take for granted the everyday tasks that seem mundane, like putting on a shirt, reaching for something on a shelf, even cleaning can seem like more than just a chore.  The saying really is true; you never really appreciate something until it’s gone.

With Yisenia, this was certainly the case.  In her own words, she told us how her frozen shoulder impacted every bit of all the mundane tasks that she took for granted in her everyday life.  But with Physical Therapy after her shoulder surgery, she was able to quickly get back to everything in her life that she was used to, and more!

“I had left shoulder surgery because of a frozen shoulder. I couldn’t even lift my hand up by myself. Lifting anything was hard. Combing my hair was extremely hard for me.
Now, I can comb my hair, which was really important to me. It may seem so simple, but I can put my hair in a ponytail now, and it had been such a long time since I was able to do this. I can life my hand up, and I’m able to do things around the house now, like cooking.
I absolutely love the staff. Everyone here is extremely nice. The whole program that they put me on was very good, and helped me get back all that I’d lost as a result of the shoulder problem.
Thank you so much!”
