Independent Again With Physical Therapy

Injuries can be very disruptive to your everyday life.  Not only are you unable to go about your daily life in the fashion that you’re normally accustomed to, but with that comes a feeling of having less independence than you had previously, and the emotional stress that comes with that.  Especially with surgery, the fact that you’re not able to depend upon your body to do the normal things in your life can be particularly jarring..

So when Physical Therapy patients come into our clinic, one of our main goals is to help patients get back that feeling of independence.  With each Physical Therapy visit, every patient starts to take little steps toward feeling like they’re getting back to normal, getting back to their every day routine.  And who doesn’t like a little bit of normal?

For Sheila, that feeling of independence was invaluable to her.  And as she progressed through her hard Physical Therapy program for post surgical knee replacement, she was able to get her activity back little by little, to the point that when she finished her Physical Therapy, she felt as if there wasn’t a surgery at all!  She felt so amazing that we just had to share her story!

“I came to Physical Therapy after having a total knee replacement. When I first came and started my therapy, it was difficult. But with each session, I was able to get through it better.
Now, I’m walking and feeling better with my therapy sessions and outside of therapy.
My life was improved because it made me more independent. I love the calm demeanor of Humberto and the staff. It was so helpful to have a staff that was so caring. I would recommend this facility to all my friends and family.”
