Managing Parkinson’s With Physical Therapy

Managing Parkinson’s can seem like a daunting task.  Due its progressive nature, it is easy to have a very pessimistic attitude when dealing with the disease.  But NOT in our physical therapy clinic.  With the LSVT program, we make sure that patients know that they can continuing LIVING with the disease as long as they are willing to put in the work.  And it definitely IS possible to continue on, even with the disease.  We have seen many of our Parkinson’s patients finish the LSVT BIG program and continue to be extremely active, not letting the disease rule their lives.

Nelly is definitely a GREAT example of perseverance.  With her yearly LSVT recalibration sessions, she continues to be active, even with Parkinson’s disease.  We are so happy to see her doing well again!

“My physical therapy helped me a LOT. After completing my last stay at therapy, my condition (parkinson’s disease) got worse.
The team took me back in and, with their program, showed me how to do things at home and showed me how to improve my quality of life with my condition. I couldn’t have made it to where I am today without them, they’ve improved my life so much.
All my love and thanks!”
