Dr. James Pumarada
DPT, STC, CSCS
Dr. James is the co-owner of Complete Physical Rehabilitation. After beginning his career in at Genesis Elder Care, Dr. Pumarada joined NovaCare Hudson Physical Therapy clinic in Bayonne , NJ (now Kessler Rehabilitation). After only 2 months, he earned the distinction of becoming the youngest person in the history of NovaCare Hudson Physical Therapy to be promoted to a clinic manager.
Dr. James holds a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from College Misericordia in Dallas, Pa. and a Physical Therapy Doctorate Degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He is also Sports Therapy Certified by St. Augustine, a NSCA-Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and has received his American Physical Therapy Association Competency Certification for Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta, one of the foremost institutions for Vestibular research and treatment in the United States. Dr. Pumarada is also a proud alumni of St. Peter’s Preparatory School in downtown Jersey City.
Over his 20+ year career, Dr. James has focused his time on successfully treating & creating specialized sports training programs around his varied personal sports interests, including basketball, tennis, golf, martial arts, and MMA. In addition, he has become the “go-to” source for local runners in both Jersey City & Elizabeth needing Physical Therapy & Training services.

Dr. Asha Pumarada

Dr. Asha began her extensive, 20+ year physical therapy career with Dr. James and Mr. Colmenares in Bayonne at NovaCare Hudson Physical Therapy (now Kessler Rehabilitation). After being promoted to the clinic manager position at the Fairlawn, NJ location, she transformed the clinic into one of the top performing NovaCare clinics in Northern NJ before founding Complete Physical Rehabilitation.
Together with Dr. James and Mr. Colmenares, she has helped to create the specialized back, vestibular (dizziness) therapy, and Parkinson’s disease programs that are used to treat all patients company-wide. In addition, as a former soccer player herself, she has treated & trained many local athletes looking to get back to performing at the highest athletic level.
Dr. Asha holds a Master of Physical Therapy degree and a Physical Therapy Doctorate degree from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is also McKenzie Certified as a back/spine specialist, a NSCA-Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and has received her American Physical Therapy Association Competency Certification for Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta, one of the foremost institutions for Vestibular research and treatment in the United States. In addition, she is a certified LSVT BIG Physical Therapy specialist for Parkinson’s Disease treatment.

Diana Raa
PTA
Diana began her 10+ year career at Complete Physical Rehabilitation as a physical therapy aide immediately after Graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Kinesiology. As the lead aide in the Elizabeth physical therapy clinic, she deepened her knowledge of the physical therapy field through exposure to orthopedic, neurologic, and vestibular cases.
In 2016, she completed the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Union County College and received her licensure from the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy. Through her time as a Physical Therapy Assistant, she has completed clinicals at Centrastate Medical Center in Freehold in the acute pediatric aquatic department, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in the aquatics & outpatient physical therapy department, and Procare Rehab in Clark, NJ.
She has an extensive background in handling vestibular, vertigo, and dizziness physical therapy programs, and is a certified LSVT BIG specialist for Parkinson’s physical therapy.
An active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), she is looking to deepen her knowledge in the areas of vestibular and Parkinson’s physical therapy while also furthering her interests in the areas of geriatric care, general fitness, and yoga.

Dr. Carla Lescano
L.Ac., DACM
Carla Lescano, L.Ac., DACM is licensed to practice acupuncture in the states of New York and New Jersey and is certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego.
While Carla treats a wide variety of complaints, she has special interests in pain management, headaches, stress management, and mental and emotional wellness. In addition, Carla has studied with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield and is certified in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal.™ In addition, Carla provides private wellness coaching services.
A lifelong Jersey City resident, Carla strives to help her patients achieve a healthier, higher quality of life. She has committed much of her time volunteering in hospitals and soup kitchens.
