Dr. James Pumarada DPT, STC, CSCS

I began my physical therapy path in elder care, then jumped into outpatient rehab at NovaCare in Bayonne (now Kessler Rehab).

Two months in, I was promoted to clinic manager—youngest in their history.

And while the recognition was great, I wanted more than titles.

I wanted a clinic where patients weren’t rushed, patient plans weren’t copy-pasted, and patients like you weren’t just another appointment number on a schedule.

That’s why I co-founded Complete Physical Rehabilitation, so that I could do physical therapy my way:

Focusing on taking time with you, not speed.

Quality, not quotas.

I bring over 25 years of experience to your care, treating athletes, weekend warriors, and those of you recovering from injury.

I’m a board-certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), Sports Therapy Certified by the University of St. Augustine, and Vestibular Competency Certified by the American Physical Therapy Association through Emory University.

From vestibular rehab to strength and sports conditioning, I help you using what works: data, experience, and a deep understanding of what it takes to get back to peak performance.

But more than that, I take the time to listen to you.

To learn about your goals.

And to work with you—not just on you.

If you’re ready to stop wondering what’s wrong and actually solve the problem, you’re in the right place.

Here, you’ll get the time and focus it takes to recover fully—and the tools so you can stay that way.

Dr. Asha Pumarada DPT, MDT, CSCS

My physical therapy journey started at NovaCare (now Kessler Rehab) alongside Dr. James.

After becoming clinic manager in Fair Lawn, I helped turn it into one of the top-performing clinics in Northern NJ.

But the more success I saw, the more I realized the system was too focused on seeing tons of patients and not enough on outcomes.

So we built something different for you.

At Complete Physical Rehabilitation, I help design and oversee company-wide physical therapy programs for spine, vestibular, and Parkinson’s treatment—built on evidence, empathy, and real-world success.

I’m McKenzie Certified as a back and spine specialist, a CSCS-certified strength coach, and trained in LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s disease. I’m also Vestibular Competency Certified by Emory University, one of the most respected institutions for balance and dizziness treatment.

Whether you’re dealing with recurring back pain or you’re an athlete eager to return to the field, you’ll get a clear plan, focused support, and the space to recover the right way.

I meet you where you are… then get you where you want to be.

We don’t do one-size-fits-all care here.

We take time with you.

We pay attention to you.

And we fight for your long-term results like they’re our own.

If you’ve been waiting for someone to actually listen to you and actually help, let’s get started.

Dr. Stefan Paul DPT

Over the years, I’ve worked with everyone in my physical therapy career: from everyday patients recovering after surgery to pro athletes optimizing their performance.

I’ve led clinical teams, built recovery programs from the ground up, and led a large practice as the Clinical Director of Northeast Spine & Wellness Center in Clark, NJ.

But I came back to Complete Physical Rehabilitation for one reason: this is where I get to do the work that matters most.

The kind of work where I’m not just checking boxes or rushing through appointments.

I’m sitting with you, listening to your story, and digging deep to figure out why your pain keeps showing up… and how we can stop it from coming back.

I believe that physical therapy isn’t just about stretches and exercises.

It’s about connection.

Understanding how your body works, what it needs, and how to build habits that let you move through life the way you want to—stronger, pain-free, and in control.

Whether I’m using manual therapy techniques, the latest sports-specific rehab strategies, or the latest in biometric movement analysis, my goal is simple:

To help you get back to doing what you love, without limitations—and with the tools to stay healthy long after therapy ends.

If you’ve been told to “just rest,” if you’ve plateaued in your recovery, or if you feel like no one’s taken the time to really understand your pain—I’m here to change that.

Because this isn’t just about recovery.

It’s about getting your life back—and making sure it stays that way.

Let’s get to work.
