Post Surgery Back Pain Gone After Physical Therapy

Sometimes, a condition can become so severe that surgery is unavoidable.  Even after surgery, the pain might still be there, in addition to the pain that comes from the surgery alone.  That’s why physical therapy is so important after a surgery.  We always tell our patients, when the doctor gives the ok for physical therapy, the first appointment should be scheduled the very next day.  The longer someone waits to start physical therapy, the worse the overall situation becomes.

For Yolanda, we are so glad that she started physical therapy right after her surgery.  Initially, the pain was so great that she required round the clock from family to even do simple tasks like putting on clothes.  Little by little, with each physical therapy visit, she could see that the pain was lessening and she was starting to re-gain her independence again.

Now, we are happy to report that her back pain is minimal and she’s back to everything that she was doing before her surgery.  For her, the best part is that she’s able to do everything without asking for help.  That feeling of independence, for her, was invaluable.

We are so happy to have helped Yolanda and we’re so glad that she had such an amazing recovery!

“I came here because I had a back operation and was experiencing sever back pain.  Walking was very bad, and I was having pain which was preventing me from sleeping well or doing anything around the house.  I had to get better for myself, because my husband had to help me with everything.

Now I can do so many more things at home without help.  Walking is better, and I can cook, clean, and I’m totally independent again.

Everyone that helped me in the facility gave me amazing treatment.  I am so thankful that I found Complete Physical Rehab and I have already told my friends and family to come here too!”
