Zero Pain After Physical Therapy

Living with pain is not fun at all.  It’s exactly the reason why the first phase of Dr. Asha’s 3 Phases of Healing in Physical Therapy is to get rid of any pain, numbness, and tingling symptoms that you are experiencing.

The Top Home Exercises For Sciatica (Part 2)

In my previous post, we began the series on my favorite exercises for back pain coming from sciatica that I give all my Physical Therapy patients in the Elizabeth and Jersey City clinics.  We started out with a simple prone prop up on the elbows.  Now that we’ve got the basic prone prop up on the elbows down pat, and once that exercise can be performed with absolutely no discomfort or pain, we can now follow the progression into the next motion:

Feeling “Totally Different” With Physical Therapy

It’s easy for me as a Physical Therapist to tell my patients that they’re lives are about to be completely changed for the better because they’ve made the decision to come in for Physical Therapy.  But it’s even easier for me to prove my point when they actually begin their Physical Therapy, because it’s one thing to say it, but another thing completely to see it working on yourself day after day.

Success Using Physical Therapy With A Smile

Before every Physical Therapy appointment in Elizabeth or Jersey City starts, just that simple “Hi, how are you?” with a smile has worked wonders with our patients and their outlook on how today’s appointment is going to progress.  What’s even more rewarding is that our patients are appreciative of the effort and are taking that positive attitude back out into their daily lives!

How To Get Back Pain Relief Fast

As I was driving in to the Physical Therapy clinic in Elizabeth, NJ, I was thinking about my children.  It dawned on me as to why they are so resilient when they fall, or that they can stay longer in a seated or standing position.  Well, of course, they are younger so their lower backs have not been succumbed to the pressure of age and time and as well there is more water in their discs vs someone at age 40, but in reality there is one very simple word that explains why they are able to bounce back so fast…

The Secret To Back Pain Relief That They DON’T Want You To Know

So many pills, so many options, all selling the same message of buying a miracle quick fix in a bottle.  But when you look at the FACTS about these miracle pills, the reality is quite different from what the drug companies are selling.  And the medical community is now also even changing their own back pain guidelines in light of this new reality.  And that reality is:

Marathon Recovery Tips

Well I did it.  I FINISHED MY VERY FIRST RACE!  I am so happy to have participated in the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon and honestly can’t believe that I completed a half marathon as my first race ever.

No one really gives you advice for POST race recovery.  And as I was sitting there, I realized that I wasn’t necessarily engaging in activity that would help my recovery go smoothly, and neither were some of the other runners around me.  So I decided to focus on what would be best to help me get back on my feet faster.
