I am very proud to announce that I am gearing up to run my first marathon, the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon!
After spending a long, 17+ year career in Physical Therapy training runners, I’m ready to go and try my hand at running a marathon myself! As I go through the whole process of training for this, my very first race, I will be documenting my progress weekly.
Happy National Physical Therapy Month! Every year for a whole month, we join thousands of other fellow Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy clinics in highlighting and celebrating our profession and its’ impact on health and wellness.
This year, we’ll be joining the APTA in highlighting the importance of Physical Therapy in the fight against opioid addiction.
It cannot be said enough that our greatest reward comes from seeing our Elizabeth & Jersey City Physical Therapy patients reach their goals to improve their quality of life using Physical Therapy.
The icing on the cake has been coming from our patients that have been spreading the word lately on the internet by sharing their amazing recovery stories.
Surgery in general can be a very emotional experience. And to have major surgery, that’s just as emotional as it comes. So I and my partners know that it’s important to make sure that the patient is not only physically getting better, but that they are doing well emotionally as well.

This year, we have decided to both inform and celebrate the field of Physical Therapy. On social media, we will be constantly posting material intended to educate and inform the public about the benefits that Physical Therapy can have on a person’s life in ways that are both obvious and also not so obvious
In addition, we will also be celebrating the month and also the running of the NYC Marathon by holding a giveaway. So, we thought it only fitting that a Fitbit be our first giveaway prize!
