4 Ways Your Daily Routine Can Cause Lower Back Pain

For back pain, we’ve heard the tips about maintaining living a healthy life, and maintaining a healthy weight before.  But what if you’ve a healthy adult that’s followed all the “rules” but still have back pain that just won’t seem to go away?  What does this mean for you?

3 Smart Moves For Your Back

It’s an unfortunate fact of life that you’re most likely going to go through a bout of back pain in your life.  Statistics show that about 80 percent of us have had at least one bout.  Now there are the obvious routes that you can take to solve your pain that are historically and statistically proven to be the best solutions for back pain, such as beginning your course of Physical Therapy right away.  But sometimes, back pain sufferers struggle to find solutions when back pain creeps in during their everyday life.

Why Do I Have Back Pain?

Is back pain causing you to move a little slower and more cautiously?

If left untreated, chronic back pain can lead to long-term spinal joint and possibly nerve damage. Back pain is one of the most common physical complaints that people suffer from and more than 80% of the US population will experience back pain at some point in their lifetime. Back pain can interfere with your ability to bend, kneel, lift, reach, do work and enjoy time with your family. Not to mention, it can make you down right irritable and affect others around you.

Independent Again With Physical Therapy

When Physical Therapy patients come into our clinic, one of our main goals is to help patients get back that feeling of independence.  With each Physical Therapy visit, every patient starts to take little steps toward feeling like they’re getting back to normal, getting back to their every day routine.  And who doesn’t like a little bit of normal?

Feeling “Totally Different” With Physical Therapy

It’s easy for me as a Physical Therapist to tell my patients that they’re lives are about to be completely changed for the better because they’ve made the decision to come in for Physical Therapy.  But it’s even easier for me to prove my point when they actually begin their Physical Therapy, because it’s one thing to say it, but another thing completely to see it working on yourself day after day.

Surgery in general can be a very emotional experience.  And to have major surgery, that’s just as emotional as it comes.  So I and my partners know that it’s important to make sure that the patient is not only physically getting better, but that they are doing well emotionally as well.

We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome for someone who became a part of our family.  Congratulations to Jackie!!  (Tip:  When you watch the video below, you might want to have a tissue handy.)
