For all of our dizziness and vertigo patients, we always get the same reactions as they go through their Physical Therapy sessions: “I wish I had known that Physical Therapy could help my dizziness years ago!” Unfortunately, many patients and doctors do not know that a Physical Therapist can specialize in treating vertigo and dizziness dysfunctions. Dealing with dizziness and vertigo symptoms can definitely be challenging. When undergoing Physical Therapy for these symptoms, the path to better living can be filled with ups and downs. And, as I tell all my dizziness and vertigo patients, you have to keep up the work even after you’re discharged, as they can come back when you least expect it! But even if the symptoms return, you can always get right back into Physical Therapy to quickly rid your life of pesky dizziness and vertigo problems.
It’s easy for me as a Physical Therapist to tell my patients that they’re lives are about to be completely changed for the better because they’ve made the decision to come in for Physical Therapy. But it’s even easier for me to prove my point when they actually begin their Physical Therapy, because it’s one thing to say it, but another thing completely to see it working on yourself day after day.
