ANF Therapy in Jersey City, NJ
Still in Pain After Everything You’ve Tried?
What if where you hurt isn’t the whole problem?
You’ve done the exercises.
You’ve rested. Stretched. Taken the medication.
Maybe you’ve tried physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage, or injections.
And you’re still hurting.
Maybe the pain keeps coming back.
Maybe it moves.
Maybe you have symptoms in other areas that don’t seem connected.
Or maybe nobody has been able to explain why you still hurt.
It may be time to look at your pain differently.
At Complete Physical Rehabilitation in Jersey City, Dr. James Pumarada, PT, DPT, CSCS, uses ANF Therapy® as another tool for appropriate patients dealing with persistent pain and movement problems.
CONNECT. CALM. REBUILD.
You’ve Treated the Pain. So Why Does It Keep Coming Back?
Your knee hurts, so you treat the knee.
Your shoulder hurts, so you treat the shoulder.
Your back hurts, so you treat the back.
That makes sense.
Until you’ve treated it and you’re still hurting.
When pain keeps returning, treatment only helps temporarily, or your symptoms seem to move from one area to another, it’s worth asking a different question:
“What else could be contributing to why I’m not getting better?”
That’s where our approach to ANF Therapy begins.
What Is ANF Therapy?
ANF stands for Amino Neuro Frequency.
ANF Therapy uses small, wearable frequency-encoded discs that are placed on specific areas of your skin. They contain no medication, chemicals, or electrical components.
The ANF approach is based on the idea that specific frequencies can interact with the body’s neurological and bioelectrical processes. Different discs are selected and positioned based on your symptoms and Dr. James’s assessment.
The goal is to help calm pain and inflammation that may be interfering with your body’s ability to recover.
Why does that matter?
Because when pain and inflammation settle down, movement may become easier. A stiff joint may move farther. A painful movement may become more comfortable. Your body may be better able to tolerate the physical therapy it needs to rebuild strength and function.
That’s why we don’t just apply ANF and send you home.
We test. We treat. Then we test again.
Did your pain change?
Can you move better?
Can you do something that was difficult before?
ANF helps us create an opportunity for your body to move, recover, and heal.
1. CONNECT
Look beyond the place that hurts.
We want the whole story.
Where does it hurt?
When did it start?
Does your pain move?
Do you experience symptoms in more than one area?
What have you already tried?
What helped? What didn’t?
Don’t leave something out because you don’t think it’s related.
Maybe it is. Maybe it isn’t.
That’s what the evaluation is for.
2. CALM
See how your body responds.
When ANF Therapy is appropriate, Dr. James applies ANF devices based on your evaluation and his training in the ANF method.
Then we reassess.
If bending hurt before, try it again.
If turning your neck was restricted, let’s recheck it.
If your pain was a 7 out of 10, has it changed?
We’re looking for:
Change we can measure.
Not a miracle.
Not a guarantee.
A response.
3. REBUILD
Less pain isn’t the finish line.
If you’re moving better or hurting less, we have an opportunity.
Now we can work on restoring movement, building strength, and increasing what your body can tolerate.
Because the goal isn’t just a lower pain number.
It’s getting back to:
Walking. Working. Exercising. Traveling. Sleeping. Playing with your kids. Living.
Feeling better gives us the opportunity.
Getting your life back is the goal.
Does This Sound Like You?
ANF Therapy may be worth discussing with our Jersey City team if:
- Your pain keeps returning after treatment
- You’ve already tried physical therapy without the result you expected
- Treatment helps, but the relief doesn’t last
- Your pain moves or appears in multiple areas
- Your symptoms don’t seem to make sense together
- You’ve tried other treatments and you’re still looking for answers
- Pain is stopping you from doing things you love
If you just read that list and thought…
“That’s me.”
Skeptical? Good.
If you’ve spent months or years trying to solve your pain, you should be skeptical.
We’re not going to promise you a miracle.
We’re not going to tell you ANF works for everyone.
And we’re not asking you to simply believe that it works.
Our approach is simpler:
Establish where you are.
Treat when appropriate.
Then reassess.
Does your pain change?
Does your movement change?
Does your function change?
You don’t have to believe ANF is the answer.
You just need to be willing to see how your body responds.
What Does the Research Show?
A 2023 observational study involving 1,054 patients treated by 113 physical therapists reported immediate reductions in pain along with improvements in swelling and range of motion.
Promising? Yes. A guarantee? No.
The study was observational, not a randomized controlled trial. More controlled research is needed, and individual results vary.
Why ANF Therapy at CPR?
Because ANF isn’t our entire treatment philosophy.
You are.
Dr. James Pumarada, PT, DPT, CSCS, has spent his career helping people recover from orthopedic injuries, persistent pain, sports injuries, and movement problems.
ANF gives him another tool to consider for difficult cases.
We want to know what you’ve tried, how you’re moving, how your body responds, and most importantly:
What do you want to get back to doing?
Then we build from there.
